We have an opportunity for keen, motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join our Outpatients department at Goole and District Hospital, this is a rare opportunity where we do not often have vacancies . If you are a Registered Nurse who has a passion for delivering high quality care to patients within an Outpatient environment, then this could be a great opportunity for you.
Our departments host a variety of sepcialised clinics, such as Dermatology, Colposcopy, Pediatrics, Orthopedics, ENT, Rheumatology, Gynecology.
As the R/N in the clinic you will manage your own clinics and support team s members, ensuring the smooth running of the department, assisting clinicians and supporting patients throughout their visit to ensure they receive the best possible care.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate, and sensitive manner. Work closely with multi-disciplinary team and contribute to clinical governance process. Acts as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students. The post holder will work flexibly and take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinic team and the maintenance of high standards of patient care.

- Diploma/Degree in Nursing
- Qualified mentor (ENB 998 or mentorship award or equivalent) or working towards
- Evidence of Post Registration development in the relevant specialty
- Management qualification
Occupational experience and abilities

- Minimum six months post registration experience in relevant speciality
- Experience of being 'in charge' of a shift
- Sound clinical skills/knowledge within the speciality
