You will be supported to work with the senior nurses at West and Central who will ensure that you are given all possible opportunities for learning and development.
We are looking for someone who can show us that they are a team player and are committed to the profession. Today's band 6 Senior Community Nurse role is complex and involves clinical practice as well as leadership, management, operational and educational responsibilities.
Main duties of the job
We would like to hear from you if you believe that you can demonstrate that you have the skills required to be a Band 6 Senior Community Nurse, that you are inspirational, motivated, driven and compassionate. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you possess a level of clinical skill and experience that can be developed further to allow you to be confident in upskilling and teaching others.

Essential
- Registered nurse with current NMC registration
- Recent experience in community nursing or Understanding of the political factors influencing the delivery of community nursing services
- Willingness to undertake study at Level 6 or 7
- Clinically up-to date
- Knowledge of the principles of manual handling and blood borne disease
- Knowledge of the Continuing Health Care (CHC) process
Desirable
- Evidence of successful study at level 7
Physical Skills
Essential
- Physically capable of performing the role and responsibilities expected of the post holder, e.g. car driver, lone working
- Car driver with clean licence
- Awareness of personal safety
