Main duties of the job

Were looking for an enthusiastic and supportive Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist, preferably with a specific interest within Early Years provision for children, to join our team within Children's Therapy Services on the Isle of Man! Youll be joining our Integrated Therapy Team consisting of Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy. The Speech and Language Therapy Team covers the whole island, striving to deliver the best health care to the children that we see. In this senior role, you will focus on assessing, developing and implementing speech and language therapy intervention to children within a specific service area. You will work across the Island in clinic and community settings with opportunities for a varied caseload in Early Years. You must also have experience in or have the ability to work towards competencies in treating dysphagia. In addition to the clinical duties you will also be responsible for the supervision of Junior Speech and Language Therapists. You will take a leading role in service development, implementing local or national strategies and working collaboratively with the Team Lead. About the Island and relocating

Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of �250 per month.   • Recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
  • Registered Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists.
  • Registered member of the Health and Care Professions Council.
