We are recruiting for a dynamic Staff Nurse with a passion for public health nursing.
You will play a vital role in supporting children, young people and their families as part of the East Sussex School Health Service.
The East Sussex School Health Service is open Monday to Friday between the hours of 08:30 - 17:00. The main hub is in Polegate with hot desks across the county. We support children and families in East Sussex focusing on promoting and protecting the health and wellbeing of our population.
We provide advice, support and signposting on, emotional health and wellbeing, healthy eating and exercise, sleep, bowel and bladder and healthy lifestyles including puberty/growing up, sexual health, smoking, drugs and alcohol.
After training and support you will be instrumental in assessing need and providing public health advice and support to professionals, parents, children and young people.Main duties of the job
As a School Staff Nurse you will keep the people who use our services as safe as possible through the use of sound clinical skills and effective risk assessments.
You will ensure the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidencebased policies and procedures.
You will be expected to assess, plan, implement and evaluate holistic care linked to packages of prescribed care.
In addition, you will be required to actively work as a member of the multi-professional team to provide high quality care to patients and manage a caseload of patients on a daily basis consisting of patients with complex needs associated within a specific speciality.About us
