New opportunity for a highly skilled, resilient and resourceful individual contribute to the transition and development of the reformed Mental Health Crisis pathways.
You will gain substantial experience in the variety of crisis response services working together to provide quick and highly skilled interventions to individuals experiencing and presenting with a variety of Serious Mental Illness (SMIs) in mental health crisis.
You will gain the experience of working with individuals presenting through different stages of crisis presentations in the emergency department as part of the Psychiatry liaison service as part of our Crisis Assessment Team and in our crisis assessment hub. You will have the ability to identify those who need an urgent assessment and have the opportunity, to offer these individuals an assessment promptly.
Main duties of the job
You will have the opportunity to work as part of the rotation with our Urgent assessment team, and work towards developing a cohesive crisis service pathway and supporting staffs professional development, experience, skills and knowledge. You will also be supported to develop skills through training provided by the trust to build assessment and formulation skills, risk management of psychotic, depressive, self-harm and suicidal presentation. In house training and development understanding Perinatal mental health, Children and Adolescence and working with individuals with Autism and ADHD.

- oRegistered Mental Health Nurse, Registered Social Worker or Registered Occupational Therapist
- oCurrent Professional Registration
- oRecognized post registration training
- oEvidence of continual professional development
- oCBT and/or brief intervention /solution focused therapy and /or motivational interviewing or willingness to undertake
- oRisk assessment and management training or willingness to undertake

- oMentorship Preparation or equivalent

- oSubstantial post qualification experience in the field of mental health crisis
- oPrevious experience at working autonomously
- oExperience of working in a multidisciplinary mental health team

- oExtensive and demonstrable experience of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care
