We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Echocardiographer to work within our rapidly developing Diagnostic Unit. Our Echo service provides a wide range of testing to include Transthoracic echocardiography, Dobutamine Stress and Transoesophageal echocardiography. ACHD clinics, Lv opacification etc.
The individual must be BSE accredited and have relevant experience post qualification.
Our unit currently supports Six Consultant Cardiologists and offers a broad range of invasive and non-invasive diagnostic tests, including ambulatory monitoring, Tilt-table tests, physiologist led and medically supervised ETT, Cardiac device implantation and follow-up including brady and high voltage devices and also Cardiac Catheterisation.
We are looking to appoint someone who will relish the challenge of being part of our team and possess the initiative and drive to complement the responsibility of this role. Whilst the base for this role is Royal Glamorgan site applicants must have the ability to travel across the hospital sites within CTM to support service need.
They must Applicants should hold a BSc in Cardiac clinical physiology or equivalent. BSE accreditation. RCCP registration.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of a team of cardiac physiologists based in the Cardio-respiratory department, providing a quality Echocardiography service to both inpatients and outpatients.
They will be required to undertake a range of complex activities of a highly specialist nature (Echocardiography), ensuring that they provide a high standard of care to all patients accessing the service within the resources available. Working across the sites within Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB) as service requires.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
