We are looking for a confident innovative nurse who is a good team player to develop and continue collaborative working relationships with other healthcare professionals, services and agencies. You will be offered opportunities to develop both clinically and professionally within a supportive environment and encouraged to participate in service developments.
Clinical supervision and a supported induction period are provided. This is fixed term/secondment post until 12th November 2024 to cover Maternity leave.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the provision of a specialist cardiology nursing service for children and young people with cardiac conditions.
You will lead on service delivery, working in conjunction with lead clinician, ward, community and multi-professional teams to initiate, develop and progress care to meet the needs of children and young people with cardiac conditions ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and support.
You will support the cardiology service in close liaison with the lead subspecialty clinician and managing their own caseload of patients.
You be an advocate for children and their families, ensuring continuity of care and precise communication, monitoring service provision using a number of quality standards to improve outcomes for children and young people.
You will be expected to develop, facilitate and provide education and advanced clinical expertise for nursing, medical and paramedical staff through extensive knowledge of cardiology care and its management
