Tregaron Community Hospital has recently been refurbished and in-patient capacity extended to provide a 15 bedded general medical and rehabilitation ward. We are a motivated team committed to the care of our patients and delivery of a high standard of care we can be proud of for patients from across Ceredigion.

Main duties of the job

Vacancies have arisen for motivated, enthusiastic, forward thinking and patient-centred individuals to join our excellent nursing team. We are looking for nurses who are able to work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team, are caring and kind and who wish to develop their clinical and leadership skills. You will be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner with the support of the ward manager and senior nursing and therapies staff.

We have permanent roles to offer on a full time or part time basis and welcome applications from newly qualified nurses as well as those with existing experience.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential

  • Current NMC registration


Desirable

  • Degree in Nursing
  • Evidence of post registration study and training, e.g. POVA
  • Evidence of post registration study and training, e.g. Child protection
  • Intermediate Life Support if required in clinical setting


Experience

Essential

  • Pre-registration evidence in direct nursing care
  • Experience of providing holistic nursing care
  • Interest in developing nursing skills


Desirable

  • Clear understanding of clinical governance framework
  • Implement evidence based practice


Language Skills

  • Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
