North East London Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a Young People's Home Treatment Team Clinical Lead, who will provide effective and efficient management of delegated resources within the Young Person's Home Treatment Team (YPHTT), which is a 24 hour crisis provision within CAMHS.

YPHTTare recent RCNi award winners and rated 'outstanding' by the CQC. YPHTT work with young people and their families /carers, who are aged 12-18 years YPHTT is a full MDT service that is effectively a 'hospital at home' working adjacent to the inpatient unit. The team encourages re-integration back into communities, school and homes.

The service is currently undergoing transformation work and the post holder will be key on leading the mobilisation of service change and development.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Band 6 clinician or above, with essential experience of supervising and management of junior colleagues alongside experience in Quality Improvement and service innovation.

The post holder will act as role model for junior staff, ensure effective communication throughout the pathways, lead on development of the service and workforce overseeing patient referral, assessment and discharge.

- Line Management of YPHTT Staff

-Ensure patient safety and clinical risk are identified

- Ensuring SMART care plans are in place for young people and evidenced based interventions are in place and ensure these are audited.

- Actively promote CYP and parent involvement including management of complaints, SI's.

- To carry out supervision, appraisals and performance alongside NELFT policy and procedure.

- To work alongside support services including infection control, health & safety, HR, practice improvement, nursing directorate, finance

- To ensure standards are met in regards to NHS long term plan, CQC, CQUIN's and QNIC.

- Acting up/deputising for senior managers in crisis division.

- Actively involved and chairing in clinical meetings, ward rounds, CPA's, team meeting.

The post holder will have knowledge and experience in ensuring patient safety and the management of complaints, SI's and learning from incidents.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process, new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High-Cost Area Supplement - London

This post also attracts payment for High-Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of �4,313 and a maximum payment of �5,436)

  • Ability to perform under pressure, quickly and effectively, making timely managerial decisions and following through available agreed care pathways.
