Are you a caring and compassionate Registered Mental Health Nurse or are just about to qualify and are looking for a fresh or new opportunity? We have permanent/full/part time opportunities for Staff Nurses to work in our existing bed-based services in Macclesfield and Alderley Edge. We are situated in the heart of Cheshire with good transport to Manchester and the Peak District. Our services consist of the following areas:

• Mulberry Ward- A 26 bed acute admissions ward (Macclesfield)
• Silk Ward- A 15 bed specialist Dementia ward (Macclesfield)
• Alderley Unit- A male Low Secure Autism Spectrum Disorder and Intellectual Disability Ward (Nether Alderley)
• Saddlebridge Recovery Centre- A male 15 bed Low Secure Mental Health Ward (Nether Alderley)

We offer the following package to new recruits to CWP:

• �4500 split into 3 instalments
  • �1500 upon commencement in role
  • �1500 after completion 12 months
  • �1500 after completion of 24 months
• Relocation fees of up to �8000

Main duties of the job

You will be able to demonstrate a real enthusiasm for mental health or learning disability nursing, as well as a desire for on-going professional development. You will receive excellent training and opportunities for development, clinical supervision and appraisal. We also offer our staff training packages, development and leadership pathways and a comprehensive preceptorship program for those who are newly qualified.

The ward offers a 24-hour service therefore, the successful candidates must be able to work a full range of 12-hour shifts including night shifts and weekends.

We also provide a comprehensive benefits package which includes:

• Competitive salary based upon an incremental pay progression scheme.
• Annual leave based upon length of NHS service. On commencement of service 35 days, after 5 years 37 days and after 10 years 41 days all are pro rata and inclusive of public holidays.

New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.

• RMN
• First level nurse

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

• Excellent communicator verbally and in terms of written work.
• Well developed research based knowledge and practical nursing skills.
• An understanding of basic management principles is essential as the post will involve taking charge of the service occasionally.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• A positive approach towards use of information technology.

Experience

Essential

• 1st level mental health trained nurse, with a up to date knowledge of current mental health legislation
• Experience of working with adults with a Learning Disability

Desirable

• Experience of carrying out clinical supervision
