This post is within the Clinical Training Team working closely with the Placement Development Quality Lead, Clinical Tutors, the Clinical Skills Trainer. The role will include being able to work within different clinical settings supporting students on placement and promoting a positive learning environment/experience. A Professional Registration is essential for undertaking this role.

  • Registered Nurse Degree Apprentice support
  • Return to Practice
  • Placement Development meetings for all 3 universities
  • Practice Assessor/Supervisor support
  • Student Simulation

  • Support of validation events
  • NMET

To work within the Clinical Training Team and be the key link between practice learning placement, the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Therapies and People Development to improve the pre-registration learning experience for students, identifying, developing and facilitating learning and development

To provide practical support to front line teams to ensure consistent high quality placements for students including supporting the implementation of appropriate models of student support such as collaborative learning in practice (CLiP).

To be a clinical lead for the Placement Development Team on the NMC Standards for Education and Training, Standards of proficiency for registered nurses and Standards for student supervision and assessment.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week over 5 days
