We are looking for a volunteer to work with our Armed Forces Covenant Lead Nurse (AFCLN), and Defence Medical Welfare Officer to provide befriending to the military community in-patient population & identify those who may benefit support (with patients/staff members consent.
The role will contribute to the wider Veteran Service by creating and maintaining effective relationships with staff, patients, and their families
Main duties of the job
The befriender will contribute to
1. The wider Veteran Service by creating and maintaining effective relationships with staff, patients, and their families.
2. The Trust culture to delivering a quality service which meets the Armed Forces Covenant.
3. Identify and make use of opportunities for sharing best practice and learning.
