An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Support Manager to join the Hammersmith Hospital Specialist Medicine Directorate at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
The successful post holder will be responsible for providing effective provision of administrative and clerical duties to support the smooth running of the Endocrinology, Diabetic Medicine departments. To provide line management and support to the Secretarial/ Administrative team across our three main hospital sites Charing Cross, St. Mary's and Hammersmith.
Previous knowledge of 18 weeks RTT performances and good people management skills is preferable. Absolutely essential is the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff from multi-disciplinary teams. Ideal candidates will have to demonstrate their experience in organising and prioritising workloads. Support safe and effective service delivery and enable improvement and transformation across the services. Successful candidates will be supported with their learning and development.

Main duties of the job
To oversee and support the administration of the Endocrinology and Diabetes department. Responsible for RTT performance, the post holder will monitor performance and make adjustments to patient pathways where necessary. The role also requires managing a team of band 3 & 4 administrators/ medical secretaries across all three sites and supporting the devolved area at SMH, monitoring processes and performance within the service. This includes the day to day planning prioritization of the work associated with their team and organise all activities in order to achieve a cost effective, productive, high quality service.
