A nine-month secondment opportunity has arisen for a Performance Analyst to join our Performance and Improvement Team at an exciting time as we continue to develop our performance reports and solutions. The post holder will join a dynamic and skilled team which provides fundamental support for CAFM and solution management, improvement projects and performance reporting.

The post-holder will play a key role in the development of performance reports and analysis to measure core KPI's and will be responsible for maintaining dashboard reports as well as the collation of performance papers for all Essentia's Services. A key part of this role will be to support the delivery of various Performance Reports which monitors key metrics within the 5 CQC domains.

We are seeking individuals with a proven track record in interpreting complex data to support new innovations, opportunities to develop the business and achieve strategic goals.

o Experience in implementing effective processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and quality of performance data is essential.

o Good communication skills are essential as the post-holder will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support them in interpreting and understanding performance reports.

Main duties of the job

Before applying for this unique nine-month secondment opportunity, please ensure you have line management approval to undertake a secondment. This ensures a smooth transition and release for the duration of the secondment.Please note that this opportunity is open to both NHS and non-NHS applicants.

The Performance Analyst will be responsible for providing business and management support to the Performance and Improvement Department, as well as providing detailed data analysis and business information support to Site Directors, Assistant Directors and Senior Managers across the wider organisation. This includes GSTT, RBH and Kings Hospital.

The post-holder will be required to maintain strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders across Essentia, to ensure the delivery and accuracy of the Performance Reports. The Performance Analyst will demonstrate total commitment, versatility and flexibility whilst undertaking all tasks and delegated work as instructed by the Senior Management team within the Performance and Improvement team.

The ideal candidate will have advance proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerQuery, PowerPivot, MS SQL Server and other business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlikview. You will be invited to take an Excel test at the interview stage of the recruitment process. The aim of the test is to assess the skillsets of the candidates.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Assist in the reporting of service delivery in accordance with the General and Service Parameters as defined in the contract (Clients) and internal KPI's.
  • To produce regular reports for the Performance Team to present to the wider team/ Trust Operations Board to demonstrate that services being provided meet KPI's.
  • To develop reports and analysis that highlight variations in past performance and predict future performance, trends and anomalies.
  • To support the Performance Manager and Performance and Reporting Manager in the delivery of performance action plans.
  • The running and scheduling of reports from systems in place including but not limited to Planet FM, Carps, Cleric, Avaya, Qlikview, Wired and CIVICA.
  • Ensure the teams working practices adhere to the relevant quality assurances indicators in line with current accreditation requirements.
  • Manage the performance monitoring schedule and submission compliance ensuring escalation and/or resolution of any non-compliance issues.
  • Effectively manage and communicate sensitive information and resolve complex data issues.
  • Provide advice, guidance and support regarding the collection, use and interpretation of information.


Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to Degree Level in a Health Information or mathematical/ statistical subject or equivalent experience of information handling/ analysis


Desirable

  • Prince 2 Foundation in Project Management
  • ILM Leadership and Management Qualification
  • Business Analysis Foundation


Experience

Essential

  • Experience of managing a busy office as a senior administrator with a significant level of responsibility
  • Substantial experience of operating a computerised database system.
  • Experience of customer facing services
  • Substantial experience of generating manipulating and interrogating data running reports on key deliverables


Desirable

  • Knowledge of FM ideally with experience in an NHS environment
  • Experience of SQL reporting executing SQL queries
  • CAFM Experience


Skills

Essential

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to respond effectively to multiple priorities
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills with ability to gather, manipulate and report on complex, technical and sensitive data in a logical and structured way
  • Excellent numerical and critical reasoning skills


Desirable

  • Experience of using Business Intelligence tools such as MS Power BI, Tableau or Qlikview
  • Experience of working with Clinicians in a multi-disciplinary/multi- agency/partnership environment
