An exciting opportunity has arisen for whole time Deputy Nurse to join the existing team of dynamic and cohesive Nurses providing cardiac care to the population of Northamptonshire and surrounding regions. This post will be a permanent post within the Cardiology team.
Main duties of the job
Cardiology at Kettering is a rapidly expanding service offering direct access for the procedure of primary percutaneous coronary intervention. CCU is a purpose built area, offering care to 12 acute bedded and 14 step-down bedded patients, with support from Cardiac Failure Nurses and direct access to Cardiac Rehab. A whole time Deputy Nurse is required due to a continuing expansion within our cardiology services, which includes the 24/7 primary service for patients experiencing acute chest pain, the only center in the county currently offering this with excellent patient outcomes. Part of this role will be to support the Ward Manager to effectively manage the operational activities of the ward. Additionally, the role will require managing the Cardioversion service within Cardiology to support pre-assessment and Cardioversion procedures.
If you are an experienced Cardiac Nurse looking for an opportunity to expand skills in leadership and coordinate our team, we will support you with your preceptorship and development as a Nurse within a very busy Cardiac area.
If you are interested in this role, or you would like to get a better understanding of what we do, please contact me to arrange an informal visit, or alternatively please submit an application.
A genuine interest in cardiology and nursing within this truly multidisciplinary team environment is essential.
