Northumbria Healthcare is seeking to appoint to our Urology Specialist Clinical Practitioner team (on a full-time or part-time basis).

We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join a well-integrated team who are integral to the provision of Urology services across the Trust.

The department are looking for a practitioner who has experience in completing diagnostic procedures, particularly flexible cystoscopy, and is keen to develop their skills further.

The department is willing to consider appointing to this post with a base of either Wansbeck General Hospital or North Tyneside General Hospital.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide clinical expertise and practice autonomously in the absence of medical cover.
  • Provide skilled and knowledgeable care and advice to patients and their carers.
  • Complete assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation of direct care to patients.
  • Work with all members of the multi-disciplinary team
  • Engage with external agencies to provide a high quality service for patients from disease, and their carers.
  • Contribute to the development of high quality services within Northumbria Healthcare.
  • To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
