The TrustWorkforceRosteringteam have an exciting new position for aWorkforceRostering Deputy Systems Manager (1 x WTE B6).
TheWorkforceRosteringteam has expanded scope covering bothAfCand Medical staff due to the recommendation from a national perspective that all Trusts implement and efficiently utilise e-rosteringand e-job planning systems.
At a time of significant pressure on the NHS and severe staffing shortages this programme of work will enable the Trust to ensure they are using staff efficiently and having them in the right place at the right time.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. - To act as deputy or provide representation on behalf of the Workforce Rostering System Manager.
- To help manage project plans, risks & issues registers, lessons learnt, dashboards and detail benefits tracker of the Workforce Rostering Programme.
- To ensure effective leadership and management, providing direction and support in the delivery of an effective comprehensive service to assigned staff and encourage personal development.
- To act as senior point of contact to provide advice and support to managers and employees on all aspects of the Workforce Rostering Programme.
Main duties of the job
- Manage assigned members of the Workforce Rostering Team.
- Work with the HR Systems Leads to support managers and staff in using these systems.
- Manage system upgrades, testing and communication for workforce rostering systems.
- Provide guidance on the on-going specification, implementation, and integration of the workforce rostering systems.
- Provide guidance and support to the Workforce Rostering Team in system issues, issue resolution, escalation and general queries linked to workforce rostering systems.
- To work in close collaboration with managers and employees Trust wide in the provision of a comprehensive workforce rostering service.
- To regularly review and manage the processes that fall within the Workforce Rostering Programme across the organisation.

- Ability to plan, prioritise, manage, and organise workload to meet conflicting and competing service needs.
Qualifications

- Postgraduate diploma level qualification or equivalent experience of workforce rostering systems or knowledge acquired through relevant training and experience working in an environment which supports rostering, workforce efficiencies, efficient rostering of all staffing levels, integration and visibility of non-medical and medical staff, capacity and demand planning, scheduling, and reporting.
Desirable
- RLDatix system qualifications in particular HealthRoster and/or HealthMedics
- Prince 2 Foundation and/or Practitioner or equivalent
Experience
Essential
- Detailed working knowledge of an electronic HR/Workforce System and NHS Information gained within a similar role.
- Experience of supervising/leading team in a similar working environment or equivalent leadership qualification.
