JOB TITLE: Radiographer
BAND: 5/6
BASE: Your primary base will be Coalville, however travel between 5 other Community hospital sites will be required.
HOURS: 37.5 per week. Participation in 24/7 working will be required, including bank and public holidays.
REPORTS TO: Superintendent Radiographer.
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Radiology Site Manager and through them to Lead General Manager.

Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5/6 (dependent on experience) Radiographer based at the Coalville Hospital. The University Hospitals of Leicester is one of the largest Hospital Trusts in the country and treated over a million patients last year.
The community aspect of UHL comprises of 6 community hospitals, namely, Melton, Rutland, Market Harborough, Loughborough, Hinckley and Coalville. Although the role is based at the Coalville site, there is a need for flexibility to cover cross-site for Annual leave and sickness cover. Because of this, access to transport is essential.
The post-holder will hold a radiography degree or equivalent and have excellent clinical skills. You will deliver a high quality, effective and efficient radiographic service to the highest professional standards. You will work alongside the existing community radiographic team and will take part in the weekend on-call rota which is based at the Loughborough site.
The community sites run a predominantly plain film service, but there is a move towards expansion of the services provided.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated and enthusiastic. You will participate in the day to day running of the department at the Coalville Site, and will take part in audit, QC, student training, and other duties as required.
