This post will be based in the Recovery, Innovation and Transformation Directorate. The post holder will be accountable for providing direction and leadership for the delivery of IT and information services across the Trust.
The Chief Information Officer (CIO) will be responsible for defining the investments to be made to the IT and information services at DBTH to support high quality and efficient service delivery. This will include IT strategy development, technology planning, project management, IT governance, information assurance, IT security, information asset management and IT vendor relationships. To do this, they must be credible and demonstrate a wide range of knowledge in the relevant areas.
The CIO will be responsible for introducing and standardising 'best-practice' in technology across the Trust. In addition, the CIO will support the Strategy and Improvement Directorate to enable the implementation of new models of service delivery at DBH and work closely with all members of the Executive Team in delivering technology enabled change and improvement. This will entail engaging with a wide range of stakeholders including clinicians, administrative and managerial staff to assist in the design and develop a vision for future service delivery.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will play a lead role in transforming care and outcomes through the delivery of high quality and efficient IT and information management services at the Trust.
Providing strategic direction and leadership for the delivery of IT services across the Trust and informing the strategy of the Doncaster place.Act as the Senior Information Risk Owner (SIRO) fulfilling those responsibilities as the Chief Executive Delegate.
Co-create and maintain an inspiring, compelling, forward looking and customer-centric vision for IT and information management services which will support the Trust's Strategic Direction. This will include considerable stakeholder engagement at all and other senior management groups.
Ensuring all operational IT and information management services across the Trust are appropriately managed, supported and developed in line with best practice in IT Service Management (ITIL).
Transforming the Trust's culture and capability around the use and sharing of information capitalising on opportunities to raise data literacy and confidence, building and preparing colleagues for the implementation of new service delivery models.
Managing IT and information management security controls in line with current best practice (ISO2700x) and Government guidelines.
Maintain personal awareness of all local and national policies, strategies best practice and initiatives which may impact on the delivery of IT and information management services.
