Digital services are supporting clinicians providing patient care to deliver clinical services in a diverse and ever-changing way. We are looking for an experienced person to join our well-established team to assist in the continued delivery of digital solutions. This is a key customer facing role requiring interaction with individuals from multiple and diverse disciplines to provide expertise and guidance around the configuration and use of the products.

The successful candidate will need to be adaptable and be able to apply their skills to the systems that the Clinical Systems Team have responsibility for, across the range of specialties. They will be required to function on an individual level and as part of the team and will also be required to maintain high levels of motivation and focus.

Above all, they will need to be extremely organised, energetic, and enthusiastic. Main duties of the job

Under the Trust's Digital Hospital Programme, we are now building upon our existing foundations with an ambitious programme of work to deliver a range of state-of-the-art clinical digital solutions across the Trust. These solutions include e-observations, team to team communications andhandover, patient results, clinical noting and clinical workspace. The Trust requires a Clinical System Specialist, to ensure that our solutions are delivered to meet the current and future needs of the organisation, and support effective and efficient patient care and associatedbusiness functions

Person Specification

Qualifications and Training

Essential

  • Educated to degree level, or significant equivalent relevant experience (IT system management or related work)
  • Evidence of continuing professional development


Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working on, managing, configuring or supporting EPR/PAS Systems within a large, acute NHS organisation
  • Experience of communicating complex issues to staff at all levels in a large and complex organisation
  • Working within a team


Desirable

  • Knowledge of current best practice relating to health records management, including security and confidentiality


Skills and Abilities

Essential

  • Understanding of the application of Digital Services to the NHS working environment
  • Ability to analyse highly complex processes and evaluate options for improvement
  • Ability to communicate technical and other specialist issues to non-specialist staff
  • Clear and effective presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Advanced use of MS software e.g. Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook


Desirable

  • Understanding of the business processes and information requirements of NHS Trusts


Aptitudes

Essential

  • Aptitude to solve problems using system and process solutions
  • Ability to relate to and communicate effectively with a wide range of people
