Employer
Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust
Location
Pitsea
Salary
£35,392 to £42,618 per annum plus 5% Fringe allowance
Closing date

This exciting, 12-month fixed-term contract post is to support locally the pilot of a regional Virtual Intensive Treatment (VIT) Service, hosted by another Trust for service users within the East of England region. The aim of the Virtual Intensive Treatment is to reduce admissions by providing intensive interventions to patients at risk of admission, who are likely to respond to intensive treatment delivered virtually.

On completion of the fixed-term contract, either the VIT would become an established pathway and a permanent role established or other permanent opportunities will be available within the wider service.

Our friendly and growing team is ready to welcome new team members who share our passion for improving access and the quality of care for people with eating disorders.

Main duties of the job

The VIT team will operate as an additional pathway to the Community Adult Eating Disorder Service (CAEDS) and the services it provides. The VIT will provide a minimum of x4/day meal and post-meal support and weekday groups.

The post holder will support the VIT locally by providing face-to-face liaison with the service users as necessary. The post holder will support service users accepted onto the VIT pathway and will work closely with the AED Community teams to deliver specific virtual interventions, as well as with the other professionals working in the VIT.

The role will also provide an opportunity to take on cases and engage in other roles within the wider service, around the requirements to support the VIT.

The post holder will carry out a diverse range of duties, under supervision of senior staff, to include taking responsibility for managing a caseload of clients, and may include the provision of a range of therapeutic interventions, supporting the daycare treatment programme and facilitating a range of therapy based groups.

You will be working alongside a number of experienced clinicians who will support your development.
