This post will be primarily based at the Chelsea hospital site however is not fully restricted and there may be the opportunity to go to West Middlesex hospital as the role develops.
As a senior member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with other radiographers supporting the superintendents and radiologists to run an outstanding efficient patient led imaging service. As the post is fully rotational, successful candidates will be expected to have had significant experience in each modality.
Main duties of the job
Supervise and coordinate junior staff in the department to ensure workload is achieved efficiently and to an excellent standard.
Assist with practical training and mentoring of junior staff and student radiographers, acting as a role model through leading by example.
Be able to confidently vet CT scans in line with department protocols.
To communicate with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Essential
- BSc (Hons) Radiography, DCR (R) or accepted international equivalent
- HCPC registration
- Experience working autonomously at a senior radiographer level
- Participate in on-call and out of hours service
- Proven ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Expert knowledge in CT, x-ray and interventional imaging
- Interest and willingness in teaching/training
- Ability to make decisions
Desirable
- Experience with writing protocols, policies and/or procedures
- Radiation protection supervisor training
- Member of SOR
- IV cannulation trained and competent
- Pg Cert in imaging course.
