Part time or full time hours available.
We are seeking to recruit enthusiastic Band 5 Staff Nurses on our Elderly care unit based here on ward 31 at Bradford royal infirmary within the Division of Elderly Care.
Our Elderly care ward receive patients from our elderly assessment unit and directly from AED, providing medical treatment for elderly patients. We also specialise in the care of patients with fracture neck of femur both pre and post operatively, offering both medical and surgical experience.
We work closely with our intermediate care wards and virtual ward using a discharge to assess model and or rehabilitation for our patients with complex needs.
The Elderly and Intermediate Care Service in Bradford strives to provide safe, high-quality care to the older population of the region, and is a leader in the development of safe alternatives to acute care. .We offer a consultant-led service for people over the age of 77 (or sometimes those over 65 from care facilities, depending on clinical need), who are acutely unwell.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team and participate in daily MDT meetings, planning care for our patients. There will also be a close partnership with our assessment ward, intermediate care wards and discharge team.
The post holder will be supported in their professional development and will have the opportunity to develop in leadership and management in the future.
