An exciting opportunity has arisen within Neurosurgery for a senior nursing position to compliment our existing team.
The Neurosurgery Matron has responsibility for Ward N2, an elective surgical pathway for Neurosurgery, O4, Neuro rehabilitation (based at the NGH) and Neuroscience Critical Care and responsible Neurosurgical ACP's.
Main duties of the job
These are highly complex roles and requires passion and drive working within the framework of the Matron principles, your key role will be to ensure clinical quality standards are achieved by providing inspirational and visible clinical leadership to the nursing teams working within the sphere of the Directorates vision and values.
The role is based within the acute hospital setting.
The role of Matron is intrinsic to the success of the patient pathway in influencing and working with the multidisciplinary and management teams and leading the highly skilled Nursing workforce to provide a quality service intrinsic to a positive patient experience.
To provide management and leadership to the nursing teams and development of patient services.
