Ward 407 is a 24 bedded medical ward, specialising in the care of renal disease and illness. within the ward we have two high dependency units (medical and renal), caring for patients requiring higher levels of care .

We are a large team which work closely with our outpatient units and specialist renal supporting teams.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse to help lead and support the team in our goal to deliver a high standard of nursing care. You will be accountable to the Senior Sisters on the ward. We are looking for a person who works well within a team, motivated and has a passion for service improvement. The Band 6 Sister/charge nurse requires knowledge and skills within renal and high dependency as well as experience of taking a leadership role.

  • Able to perform haemodialysis and/or peritoneal dialysis
