We arelooking for an enthusiastic individual to join its dynamic Financial Management team. The successful applicant will have the responsibility for providing guidance and support, accurate financial information, and developing strong financial governance controls within their allocated CSU.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivated finance professional to join the Finance team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a dedicated, experienced and innovative self-starter who can demonstrate the drive and commitment needed to support the ongoing delivery of excellent services provided by the Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a comprehensive business service, ensuring effective delivery of financial performance.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work to multiple deadlines, objectives and targets having an excellent track record of meeting deadlines and delivering objectives in a timely manner. The role will involve producing routine financial monitoring information, providing support and advice to budget holders whilst acting as a link support person aligned to a specified division. Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus are essential.
The post-holder will also have strong analytical skills and be able to effectively communicate complex financial issues to financial and non-financial people both internal and external to the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The role offers significant opportunities for personal development as many aspects of the job involve building relationships and developing a deep understanding of the business of a range of complex services. The department also aims to develop individuals through active involvement in Future Focused Finance and HFMA programmes.
Since the start of the pandemic the department has operated a popular hybrid working system with staff working flexibly both from home and in the office when necessary.
Summary of most important Experience/Skills/Qualifications required:
The successful candidate will need at least 2 A Levels (or equivalent) and will have previously worked within a finance office environment. Relevant work experience within NHS finances would be an advantage but not a necessity. The successful candidate will also need to be computer literate, especially in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. They will also need to possess strong analytical skills, communication skills and be able to work to demanding deadlines.
