We are seeking qualified pharmacists with excellent clinical and communication skills to join our pharmacy team as a Band 7 clinical pharmacist or depending on experience, Band 6 with progression to Band 7. For Band 7 you will have at least 2 years post-registration experience, have completed or be completing a post graduate clinical pharmacy qualification, and possess well-developed clinical pharmacy skills. For Band 6, newly qualified pharmacists with an interest in mental health will be considered. We would also welcome applications from pharmacists with experience in other sectors keen to explore new career opportunities in secondary care. What matters most is your empathy for those with mental health problems.

The post-holder will be supported to develop their clinical skills through funded postgraduate study, and to develop their management skills. For those without such qualifications already this would include post graduate Certificate or Diploma in clinical pharmacy practice or psychiatric therapeutics, as well as development as an independent prescriber.

This exciting role will require you to deliver a clinical pharmacy service within adult mental health, community mental health and physical health wards across the county of Cornwall. You will support the medicines-related care of patients, support the provision and development of medicines management services, and participate in training, education and research as required.

Main duties of the job

You will also be involved with auditing and work closely with other members of the pharmacy team providing advice and support to the wider trust.
