An opportunity has arisen for a registered children's nurse on PCCU within Royal Derby Children's Hospital.
We are looking for a registered children's nurse to work alongside the Nursing and Medical team to deliver care to sick children and young people on PCCU.
You must have a minimum of 6 month paediatric ward experience
We are a four bedded unit who cares for level 1 and 2 patients at the Royal Derby Hospital. We provide care for children and young people aged 0 -16 years with acute medical and surgical conditions, as well as providing care for children and young people with complex medical needs.
If you are dedicated to making a difference within the acute care setting for children and young people, then this is the opportunity for you.
Main duties of the job
The role includes working with babies and young people who are receiving level 1 & 2 level of care, supporting families within stressful situations and working with the wider MDT.
Applicants must hold RSCN or RN child branch. RN applicants will be considered with appropriate experience.
You will be responsible and accountable for the delivery of high quality, effective, and compassionate nursing care, including assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating of holistic and individualised care. This will be in line with local, Trust wide and national policies, procedures, values and behaviours.
