An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Ward Manager to join Pegasus Ward.
Pegasus Ward is a Specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder Unit based in The Lookout, at Hopewood Hospital in Nottingham.
This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and dedicated clinician to join a well established and Multi-Disciplinary Team who provide highly specialist care and treatment to young people experiencing eating disorders/difficulties .
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a senior clinician within the team working closely alongside MDT colleagues in particular The Trainee ACP, Service Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Consultant Psychiatrist to ensure a collaborative approach to leadership.
The Ward Manager will have operational responsibility for the ward ensuring targets are met, high quality care is achieved and staff experience a supportive environment in which they can develop their skills.
The Ward Manager will ensure leadership responsibilities including providing high quality supervision to junior members of the team.
Within this role the post holder will support the team with the implementation and evaluation of safe and effective treatment plans for the young people whilst offering regular support to families and carers

Pegasus Ward is a 12 bed Specialist CAMHS Eating Disorder Unit based in The Lookout, at Hopewood Hospital in Nottingham.
The Lookout houses 3 wards including a General Adolescent Unit, Specialist Eating Disorder Unit and Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit. We are co-located with perinatal services as well as core CAMHS and Specialist CAMHS Community Teams. Our inpatients have the opportunity to attend our on site Education Facility.
We have more than 100 sites and a huge scope of unique opportunities to develop your career and gain some amazing experiences. - Professional Qualification (Mental Health/Learning Disabilities) plus further specialist knowledge/post registration experience to diploma level or equivalent underpinned by theory within physical healthcare or other formal training
- Maintain current registration with the NMC and adheres to the NMC Code. Demonstrates continuing Professional Development within their specialism
