We have vacancies for Band 5 Theatre Practitioner /ODP for the Anaesthetic /scrub team
We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated registered nurse to join our theatre team in CMH Theatres. Central Middlesex Hospital has 9 theatres and is our dedicated elective site: Elective orthopaedic, major colorectal cases alongside ophthalmology, ENT, Urology and general surgery procedures are undertaken. A seven day a week on call services is provided for urgent return to theatre cases
You will be an RGN / ODP with post registration experience in peri- operative nursing (Anaesthetic, scrubbing and circulating) to join our theatre team).The applicant would be expected to work in all specialities with rotation base.
You should have good communication and interpersonal skills, be willing to learn and be prepared to utilise your skills in all peri-operative areas. A willingness to monitor the usage of equipment to ensure efficiency and cost-effective working is advantageous.
Post involves Early, late duty and on call.
Main duties of the job
Assess, plan and implement programmes of peri-operative care.Be aware of competence and seek assistance as required.Undertake the role of scrubbing and circulating duties with supervision as appropriate.Provide learning support for students and health care assistants. Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
