We are currently recruiting for Category Procurement Specialists, to join us at NOE CPC. We offer a number of great benefits, excellent terms and conditions, and we support development.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the newly formed Facilities and Office Solutions Team.

The roles will work closely with the Category Manager(s) and/or Associate Director within the CMSP for Facilities and Office Solutions and will include extensive engagement with both the NHS, Supply Chain Coordination Ltd (SCCL) and supplier organisations, in order to ensure procurement solutions are established, genuinely met and to deliver against the need to drive down cost, which in turn is put back into patient care.

You will be a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual, with a passion to make a positive difference within our NHS.

You should be able to demonstrate strong personal skills, a sound understanding of public procurement, together with both experience and enthusiasm for your category area. Whilst being a good communicator, have a strong customer focused ethos and broad commercial acumen.

Main duties of the job

As part of the NOE CPC Procurement Team you will need to be able to:
  • Support a category management approach in order to deliver cash releasing savings and sustainable total cost reductions for NHS within this category area.
  • Have considerable knowledge and expertise within this specialist category area.
  • Support the development and execution of complex procurement projects, in line with the Public Contracts Regulations
  • Have a strong customer focus, commercial acumen and a pro-active approach
  • Have a sound approach to contract and supplier management in this category area
  • Build excellent working relationships with peers, colleagues, customers and other external stakeholders at both operational and senior levels.
  • Have a hands on approach and a results focused mentality.

NHS Supply Chain Facilities and Office Solutions

NOE CPC were successful in resecuring an existing service contract and expanding its scope providing the opportunity to provide the NHS Supply Chain Category Management Service for Facilities and Office Solutions following a recent tender process. This involves managing the national procurement of several categories including Paper Hygiene, Textiles, Janitorial Pulp, Office Supplies and Furniture

  • Bachelors or Masters degree
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply


Knowledge

  • Practical knowledge of Public Sector Procurement policy and process
