We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our Nursing teams based at Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli.
Opportunities are available in the following areas:-
AMAU - Acute Medical Admissions conveyed by Ambulance or referred by General Practitioners - will see patients with a wide range of Acute medical problems including strokes and chest conditions
Ward 1 - a 21 bedded ward specialising in Respiratory Medicine
Ward 3 - a 22 bedded general medical ward specialising in elderly care including Dementia, Frailty, Parkinsons and Rehabilitation
Ward 4/ CCU - acute medical / cardiology ward specialising in Cardiology, and services such as Angio, managing arrythmias, and heart failure management
Ward 5 - specialising in Gastroenterology and Endocrine
Ward 6 - a 26 bedded ward specialising in Elective Orthopaedics Surgery
Ward 9 - a 29 bedded ward specialising in Acute Stroke and rehabilitation
MMRU - Mynydd Mawr rehabilitation Unit is a 15 bedded general rehabilitation ward.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for nurses that are passionate about delivering the best care possible, who have excellent communication skills and are willing to work as part of a committed and skilled multi-disciplinary team.
We have a very supportive environment for registered nurses with an on-site professional development nurse as well as an excellent preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses.

Prince Phillip hospital is a busy, modern and well-equipped hospital which opened in 1990. There are approx. 225 acute and elective inpatient beds, supporting emergency medical cover which is inclusive of an Acute Medical Admissions Unit. There is a 24 hour Minor Injuries Unit lead by GP and Emergency Nurse Practitioners. The medical wards are assigned to Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Stroke/Rehabilitation, General Medicine, Elderly care, and Rehabilitation.Prince Philip Hospital also provides Elective General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Breast and Urology, with the commissioning and development of a 3-4 bedded Enhanced Care Unit for Major Elective Surgical Patients in progress.
The combination of excellent colleagues and engaged population has allowed significant progress and innovation of services in PPH over the last 8 years. The Nursing Team thrive on improving their Clinical Areas to ensure the patient receives the best possible experience. Our aim is to empower the nursing profession at all levels of practice to improve the safety and quality of services.
