Job summary

Newham Recovery College is seeking to recruit a Peer Tutor and Individual Learning Plan (ILP) Lead to join our brand new team. If you have lived experience of mental health difficulties and are passionate about education and shared experiences then this role is for you!

The Recovery College Peer Tutor and ILP Lead will work closely with the Recovery College Manager to support the development and delivery of high quality courses and the ILP process, and will ensure that paid and volunteer Peer Tutors are supported and developed in their roles.

The successful candidate must have lived experience of mental health difficulties so that they can draw upon their personal experience of using services and recovery to deliver our Peer Tutor development program and ILP process and demonstrate that recovery is possible. The Peer Tutor and ILP Lead will contribute to embedding recovery values within the Recovery College, using their lived experience of working within coproduction and recovery models.

We recognise that not everyone is able to work full-time for a number of reasons, such as caring responsibilities or managing health conditions; this role is therefore being offered as a full-time role or as a part-time job share. Please indicate in your supporting statement which option(s) you are interested in.
