We are recruiting for a Project Manager who shares our ambition and vision to deliver the Best of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, able to work to tight deadline and have a keen eye for details, experience of using Microsoft office packages is a big advantage.

No specific IT / PMO industry experience required but experience of working within a clinical setting would be highly advantageous for the role.

Main duties of the job

Within this role you will be delivering projects to agreed business outcomes within agreed time scales, budget and scope. You will be developing the project plan, deliverables and milestones to successfully deliver the business outcomes. As part of this role you will project manage and lead the delivery of clinical systems implementations which are part of the Transformation and Digital Strategy.

The successful individual will have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build excellent working relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and external partners.

This will involve the mapping and reporting of current service delivery requirements, resource provision and utilisation, income streams, operational performance data and processes.

To provide leadership and guidance on project delivery, championing excellence in support of continuous improvement within digital transformation.

To effectively Project Manage clinically focused information technology projects.

To work closely with the wider IT and Transformation teams in assessing the IT infrastructure capacity, resilience and support requirements.

Responsible for the planning, delivery and organisation of complex projects making use of appropriate project management tools and techniques.

Able to communicate to a range of stakeholders at all levels in a clear, concise and persuasive manner.

Ability to create reports showing complex data in clear and informative ways to a range of stakeholders at various levels of seniority.

Essential

• Educated to degree level or equivalent qualification/experience
• PRINCE 2

Knowledge

Essential

• Knowledge and understanding of Caldicott guidance and the Data Protection Act
• A good knowledge of the use of information and information systems used in the NHS
• Knowledge of Clinical Governance and Information Governance

Experience

Essential

• Demonstrable experience in delivering benefits through change
• Management of Supplier relationships through the lifecycle of a project through until operational handover

Skills

Essential

• Ensuring that full use is made of PRINCEs2 project methodologies, where appropriate and dependent on project specification, to ensure the successful rollout of the project.
• Ability to identify risks and issues affecting any project and advise on mitigation
• Ability to manage and lead a team
