Are you a proactive, determined HR professional looking to be part of an innovative and outcome driven team?

Working within the Oldham Care Organisation, sitting within the Northern Care Alliance, this role provides the opportunity to work closely with the services within the organisation. The HR Advisor will work to provide a high quality, comprehensive and effective generalist operational Human Resources service to a division within a Care Organisation. They will also support the HR Business Partner in the delivery of HR and Care Organisation objectives.

What we're looking for

We're looking for a HR professional to join our team as a HR Advisor . The role is advertised as a part time opportunity and we would be open to discussing alternative ways of working including flexible working arrangements.

This would be an ideal opportunity for an individual to step up into the role of HR Advisor. The post holder would have the support of a HR Business Partner, the HR Advisor team, the 0-19 Children's Services team and the wider HR Team.

Main duties of the job

As a key member of the HR team, the post holder will provide professional advice and support to managers and staff on employment issues.

To provide a high quality, comprehensive and effective generalist operational Human Resources service to a division within a Care organisation. To support the HR Business Partner in the delivery of HR and Care Organisation objectives. Skills

Essential

  • Ability to build positive relationships with managers, colleagues, trade unions etc
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively all levels of staff/management.
  • Ability to plan, organise and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent team player and ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to generate reports and draft policies
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • Manage a varied workload and prioritise accordingly


Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience
  • Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD)


Experience

Essential

  • Substantial HR experience at an Advisory level
  • Experience working within the NHS or NHS setting
  • Experience in managing complex employee relations cases


Desirable

  • Experience of working in a large complex unionised organisation
  • Knowledge and experience of using ESR
  • Substantial generalist HR experience within the NHS
