We are looking for a 18 month fixed term Programme Manager for the SIIS Programme for Dorset. SIIS is the Strategic Integrated Imaging Solution and is an innovative programme looking at how images are shared between multiple organisations and IT solutions.

The SIIS Programme Manager will provide dedicated implementation and delivery support to a range of colleagues within University Hospitals Dorset, Dorset County Hospital and SWASH. The scope of the Programme is to cover all clinical specialties that capture and manage multimedia information within Dorset and to integrate the service with the equivalent Image sharing platform in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight (IoW) to achieve the investment objectives for the South East 3 (SE3) Imaging Network that covers the Wessex geography.

The programme will start with a full proof of concept which will need full system design and full engagement from the organisations to evidence the solution with 3 modalities from the 3 PACS instances in the first stage.

The candidate must have experience of IT related projects that scan multiple systems and involve interfaces and ideally has a good knowledge of radiology messaging functions and standards.

  • Degree or Masters Level of IT related subject or equivalent experience

  • Extensive experience of implementing best practice in Project Management
  • Familiar with Acute Hospital Environment
  • Experience and Competency in implementing and managing significant cross organisational change


Technical Skills Competencies

  • Ability to understand and interpret requirements of users
  • Sound understanding of principles and practical application of PRINCE
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing at all levels


Knowledge

  • In depth knowledge of healthcare information systems
  • Thorough working knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines
