We are looking to recruit a professionally qualified librarian to join our highly esteemed integrated NHS/Keele University Health Library team. This is an exciting new role which offers variety and plenty of scope for development.

With a degree level qualification in library and information sciences, you will be a confident advocate for library services. You will possess excellent communication and IT skills and be able and willing to demonstrate a commitment to our Trust values.

Main duties of the job

As Assistant Librarian based at Royal Stoke University Hospital, your role will focus on:
  • Developing outreach services on the Royal Stoke site by proactively liaising with departments and specialties
  • Working with our team of search experts to undertake expert literature searches to support clinical and management decision making, education and research and more.
  • Delivering inductions to staff groups and supporting library trainers to design and deliver training in search skills and use of library resources to NHS staff and students on placement.
  • Supporting the team in the day to day running of the library.
