Job summary

We currently have Bank vacancies on our Inpatient Children's Ward, Buxton Ward and our Children's Assessment Unit (CAU). Working for our Nurse Bank gives you flexibility and variety across our wards and departments.
Our Jenny Lind Children's Hospital incorporates Children's Inpatient, Ambulatory, Emergency, Neonatal and Outpatient care. We treat children and young people across a broad range of specialties including Paediatric Medicine, Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, plastics and much more. We also have a dedicated Surgical and medical HDU. Our collaborative team care to children living in Norfolk and for those accessing specialist treatments across the Eastern Region.
The Children's Assessment Unit is open 24/7 and the Children's Day Ward is open Monday - Friday.
Main duties of the job
To work with all members of the Ward/Department clinical team within the multi-disciplinary framework. Maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse.
To act as a leader in the clinical area, in the absence of a more senior member of staff. To work in accordance with the principles laid down by the Nursing/Midwifery professional bodies and Trust Policies.
