The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUHFT) Digital Health team is responsible for the delivery of digital services across the Trust to support its clinical and administrative obligations.

The Department comprises of 4 main areas:- Digital Hospital, Operational, Informatics and Information Governance which is made up of over 75+ staff. Our aims are to provide the highest degree of digital services and support to Trust staff, the Trust's partners and commissioners. These services are undertaken through the provision of high quality digital services to customers throughout the trust, this helps ensure that the best patient care is always available and that staff productivity is maintained.

Full time: 37.5 hours per week

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Chief Digital Information Officer (CDIO), the Digital Health Clinical Operations Lead works in partnership with the Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO), Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) and Associate Director of Digital Health. This role will have operational accountability for the three Trust Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme. The post-holder will be responsible for defining digital objectives to meet corporate goals, and ensuring that quality standards are met and performance addressed where this is not the case.

The Digital Health Clinical Operations Lead is the owner of and is accountable for key hospital wide Digital Transformation policies of operational care access and delivery as they pertain to the introduction of an electronic patient record and the improvement of the trusts digital maturity.

The following skills and experience will be required and are essential for the successful candidates:
  • To work with the CCIO, CNIO and AD of DH in providing strong, clear visionary leadership to the whole Digital Hospital programme through team working to ensure effective operational management and delivery of the service.
  • Lead the development of the strategy for Digital Hospital and ensure the staff are fully engaged and supported in operational, governance and performance matters.
  • Contribute to the NNUH's strategic aims and ensure the achievement of strategic objectives/deliverables.
  • Lead responsibility for developing and co-ordinating the electronic patient record strategy, including workforce, activity, financial and capacity/service improvement plans as part of the planning cycle.
  • Financial responsibility for implementing services in line with the NNUH's financial strategy and SOPs.
  • Responsible for contributing to and developing hospital wide NNUH policies and implementing within Digital Health.

  • Evidence of recent professional and managerial development


Experience

  • Significant senior line management experience in a large complex service organisation with recent, relevant Senior Manager level or equivalent.
  • Evidence of successful management of change in services in a complex organisation.
