An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Registered Nurse within our female admission ward at West Park Hospital.
Elm ward offers a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join a team who support female patients within a 18 bedded acute ward environment.
This post is only open to those candidates who already have their NMC registration in place and have successfully completed the preceptorship programme. Please note: Newly qualified applicants or those due to qualify will be recruited via a separate process.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of a broad multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality, patient focused care in a hospital setting, developing and implementing the integrated team approach within a supportive and enthusiastic team.

Joining our acute inpatient service means you enjoy a fast paced work environment within a team who are focused on patient experience and recovery through high standards of care and evidence based practice. As a staff nurse on the ward you will work closely with service users and their relatives/ carers as part of a multi-disciplinary team - you will lead the way as a role model within the team, demonstrating compassionate leadership through the Trust Values and Behaviours. You will be a core part of the team for the ward, supporting and developing a collective approach to leadership and the development of the ward in conjunction with the team, patients and carers.

The post holder will be required to work rotational days and night shifts. The post holder will need to be flexible, adaptable and with the ability to work on their own initiative and be able to communicate with all agencies relevant to patient care to support patient flow.

- RNMH, current professional registration with NMC.
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.
- Trained Clinical Supervisor (within agreed timescale).
- Key skills in literacy, numeracy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)
- MIP, FLIP, ENB 998 Teaching & Assessing in Clinical Practice or City & Guilds 730 Teaching in Adult Education or willingness to work towards. Qualification must be achieved within agreed timescale.

- Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area
