If you apply and are successfully appointed to this role, you will receive an initial recruitment payment of �1,500 on commencement in post, in addition to your salaried pay.

If you stay in this role for 12 months, you will receive another payment of �1,500, and a final payment of �1,500 if you are still with us after 24 months. Terms and conditions apply.

Main duties of the job

Are you a caring and compassionate Registered Nurse or are just about to qualify and are looking for a fresh or new opportunity? We may have just the role for you with permanent/full/part time opportunities for Staff Nurses across the Trust.

Specialist Mental Health - Chester, Wirral, Macclesfield

Learning Disabilities - Chester, Macclesfield

Children and Young People - Chester

You would be required to work on a rotational shift basis, which includes days and nights.

You should possess commitment to team working and innovative delivery of excellent standards of care. You are able to demonstrate a real enthusiasm for nursing, as well as a desire for on-going professional development. All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. Please note that DBS costs will be waived for applicants who are being recruited for COVID-19 reasons.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. A small annual fee of �13 per year applies. Please see attached Update Service Applicant Guide document for further information.

New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • RMN / RNLD
  • First Level Nurse


Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

  • Excellent communicator verbally and written work
  • Well developed research based knowledge and practical nursing skills
  • An understanding of basic management principles is essential as the post will involve taking charge of the service occasionally
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • A positive approach towards use of information technology


Experience

Essential

  • 1st level mental health trained nurse, with an up to date knowledge of current mental health legislation (and or)
  • Experience of working with adults with a Learning Disability


Desirable

  • Experience of working in a Mental Health setting
  • Experience of carrying out clinical supervision


Analytical and judgemental skills

Essential

  • Ability to interpret complex facts or situations requiring analysis and ability to compare a range of options
