Job summary

Band 6 Nurse Secondments - with attraction bonus of up to �1,500 (on top of salary and enhancements)

We have an exciting opportunity for fixed term secondments for registered Nurses to work within our 'rated Outstanding by CQC' Learning Disability Assessment and Treatment Unit in Macclesfield, Greenways.

We are looking for x 2 band 6 Registered Mental Health or Learning Disability nurses.

The secondments are for either 3 or 6 months and will commence in July 2023. These opportunities are only open to external applicants.

3 month secondments attract an additional bonus of �750, on top of salary and enhancements.

6 month secondment attract an additional of �1500, on top of salary and enhancements.

You will be working with adults with a learning disability as part of an enthusiastic and committed multidisciplinary team, taking referrals from both the local area but also specialist referrals from across the Northwest as part of the inpatient offer. Admissions are short term for people with learning disability and complex needs requiring a period of intensive assessment, treatment and or therapy within an inpatient unit.

Main duties of the job

As a key staff member at our Assessment and Treatment Unit, you will develop person centred plans and work closely with other member of the team to help individuals reach their potential, working within a multi professional framework, being named nurse for adult service users with learning disabilities and complex needs. You will work within a hierarchical structure, under the supervision of the Manager/Deputy Manager and being able to take charge of the shift.

The ideal candidates must have strong and positive values, be enthusiastic, have good communication skills and able to build effective working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team.

As the ward is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the 11.5 hour shifts will include both days and nights (Days 07:30-20:00 and Nights 19:30-08:00).
