Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for developing the Trust's management information reporting in order to meet our divisional data and information requirements.

You will play a key role in analysing and interpreting complex information and data, utilising available technology to extend the availability of information to users to both empower them and raise awareness of the importance of high-quality data. You will ensure the availability of timely and high-quality reports to the Trust's internal and external stakeholders.

Job description

Job responsibilities

You will work with information colleagues and customers, identifying opportunity to deliver reporting services at scale through a do once approach to support customers deliver improvement of healthcare services.

You will contribute to the delivery of a high quality, responsive and efficient information reporting service supporting PAH and customer objectives through delivery of reports via the PAH BI solution. You will also maintain high levels of quality through management of an assurance process working closely with information managers and service leads.

You will form part of the Divisional management team and will be expected to provide expert advice and support to inform the development and delivery of improvement programmes.

Person Specification

Education and qualifications

Essential

  • Informatics or Information qualification to degree level
  • Maths and English GCSE grade C or above or equivalent qualification
  • Continuing Professional Development


Experience

Essential

  • Experience of managing complex information management development projects comprising the automated integration of disparate data sources and delivery of information derived from it
  • Experience of delivering statutory, commissioning, and internal reporting requirements


Desirable

  • Experience of working as an Information lead within an Acute NHS Trust


Knowledge

Essential

  • Proficient in using SQL and MS Office products
  • Understanding of NHS Data Dictionary and other relevant Information standards, including the ability to apply these standards to system designs/developments


Desirable

  • Expert knowledge of SQL and BI tools, such as QlikView/QlikSense
