There is one 37.5 hour post and one 22.5 hour post available
This post will involve working as an autonomous practitioner who is able to devise, implement and follow up specialist treatments across the disease spectrum for adults with cystic fibrosis.
We are looking for a skilled practitioner who can provide expert clinical care using an extensive theoretical knowledge base and practical experience to underpin the role, while acting as a role model for the delivery of expert care.
The role will include delivering formal and informal education programmes and participation in audit and research.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced dynamic nurse practitioner to join the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinical Nurse Specialist Team on a full- time basis.
The Cardiff and Vale adult CF service provides care for all adults with Cystic Fibrosis in South, West and Mid Wales
The primary responsibilities of this post would be:

- To work within the multi-disciplinary team to provide specialist knowledge, facilitate comprehensive, co-ordinated, effective care and treatment for in patients with Cystic Fibrosis.
- To practice advanced clinical skills and to share those skills with junior colleagues
- To deputise for the Lead CNS and assist with management of the CNS team.
- To demonstrate higher levels of clinical decision making and improve standards of care through supervision of practice and teaching and supporting professional colleagues.
- To evaluate working practice within the Cystic Fibrosis Unit, medical wards and primary care in relation to Cystic Fibrosis nursing through the use of audit, research and outcome measures
