Job summary
The Head of Access and Performance, and Health Inequalities Lead will be responsible for cancer, and referral to treat performance across the trust, encompassing all national targets. This will include taking lead responsibility for: establishing a comprehensive annual plan for the trust; delivery of NHS Constitution Standards; agreeing and working within an annual budget for income and expenditure, including efficiency/CIP requirements; communications and engagement within the trust.
This role will involve developing strong working relationships with system partners, seeking out opportunities to improve services for local people, improving health and wellbeing and addressing health inequalities.
The Head of Access and Performance, and Health Inequalities Lead will be accountable professionally to the Director of Operations. Their objectives will include leading and/or participating in divisional and corporate programmes of work as well as operations within the Trust. Line management of the cancer scheduling and RTT booking teams.

- Responsible for supporting the delivery of key access targets across all services, this includes Referral to Treatment, Cancer and Cancelled Operations.
- Development and delivery of transformation/improvement projects, in line with Trust business plans and service delivery operational plans, Trust objectives and standing financial instructions.
- Facilitate dynamic problem solving at a variety of levels with both internal and external stakeholder groups, using service improvement tools and techniques using process flow analysis including value and efficiency mapping by establishing baseline data and setting key performance indicator metrics.
