We are looking for our new Associate Director of EPR Applications and Digital Operational Services. You will develop and implement our EPR operational strategy, be accountable for the delivery of digital services and supporting technology to ensure a flexible, consistent solutions based approach . You will lead on all operational management of our Trust-wide applications and coordinate a collegiate and compliant approach across our system managers. You will also lead a talented and diverse team of customer focused and values driven individuals.

Job responsibilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WHAT YOULL DO
  • You will lead, shape and support the development and implementation of our customer focused applications strategy and our UHS digital operational services
  • Working across a wide network of diverse stakeholders, you will prepare strategies and operational plans to support continuous improvement of digital services, ensuring systems compliance with national requirements.
  • With a strong focus on customer experience, you will oversee system design and build at UHS, working closely with senior clinical and operational stakeholders.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR
  • You will have a proven track record of leading complex multi-million pound portfolios, including large scale contracts, technical business cases and leading digital services in a service critical setting.
  • You will bring knowledge of customer focused programme and project management within a technical setting , with experience of managing large scale highly complex programmes using multiple digital applications and tools
  • With excellent inter-personal, team development, leadership and communications skills, you will be committed to building positive working partnerships with senior managers, staff and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • You will be able to demonstrate and live our UHS Values and share our vision and direction for the division and the trust in a spirit of collaboration, inclusivity and compassion.

Person Specification

Qualifications, knowledge and experience

Essential

  • Degree in computer related/numerate subject or significant equivalent experience with highly specialist technical knowledge in relevant field.
  • Educated to Master's degree or significant equivalent experience with highly specialist technical knowledge in relevant field.
  • Evidence of further leadership and management training or equivalent
  • Project management qualification or demonstrable experience
  • Complex multi-million-pound budget/project management
  • Significant proven and demonstrated experience as senior manager, head of service, programme lead or architect in IT / digital services.
  • Knowledge of supplier community and account management
  • Experience of managing significant and highly complex contracts, which includes overall responsibility for the relationship as well as for individual projects or programmes to be delivered
  • Programme / project manager within technical / IT setting. Experience managing large scale highly complex and sensitive programmes
  • Extensive experience of leading an operational environment and service-critical administrative IT systems
  • Previous experience of authoring complex business cases
  • Staff management experience at a senior level including change management and redesign of service delivery.
  • Procurement experience including options appraisal and selection of suppliers/authorising purchases
