An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Finance Team as an Assistant Business Partner Accountant for the Division of Urgent Care of Aneurin Bevan UHB. We are looking for an experienced Accountant who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and has an appetite for helping to drive future transformational change.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will directly support the Divisional Director, General Manager, and their teams, assisting them to meet their financial challenges and provide influence and financial support. The role involves maintaining excellent working relationships with a wide range of Finance, Operational and Clinical stakeholders at all levels and in a multi-site environment.
The individual will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development and implementation of financial policies, which facilitate the achievement of the Health Board's financial objectives.
The post-holder will be expected to implement an annual budget setting process and to provide financial advice to all interested parties on a wide range of issues.
Applicants should possess a good understanding of financial and governance requirements, have a good track record of managing a high performing team and have the ability to demonstrate wider business partnering skills.
You will ideally have management and business partnering accounting experience in the NHS, or similar large organisation in an environment dealing with complex issues. You will have excellent analytical and communication skills and be able to maintain excellent relationships with both finance and non-finance staff, with the ability to present financial data to a variety of individuals and groups in order to influence decision making

The successful applicant will be part of a team of 6 people, varying grades but will be working as part of a wider finance team that supports the hospital, acute divisions.
