We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our friendly team in the internationally renowned Department of St. Mary's Hospital Paddington sharing the workload in the different sites of community as well.
The post holder will need to maintain their specialist knowledge of non-invasive pre such as 24Hr tap and blood pressure, cardio-pulmonary exercise test (MVO2), exercise test and walk-in ECG.
The post holder will assist the Principal Cardiac physiologist to provide and organise the day-to-day clinical-technical services of the departments in the community and St. Mary's Hospital where appropriate.
All community sites are well equipped. All sites have their own ECG machines, cardiac monitors and server to do analysing. The staff in the community has the opportunity to work independent and show their skills to their best ability. The services/staff are fully supported by the Principal physiologist and the rest of the staff attending the site. The community staff will work alongside St. Mary's Echo department for further development and training.This post offers the opportunity to work in a stimulating environment, further develop your knowledge and skills to a very high level, participate in training and teaching, and be supported in maintaining your BSE accreditation and to further study to MSc level.
Main duties of the job
The role is centred on the Trust Echocardiography Departments at St Mary's Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and Community Cardiology within the Westminster PCT area.
As a practitioner Cardiac Physiologist, it is to perform a range of specialised cardiac investigations, including clinical-technical interpretation of findings and draft diagnostic reports, to a competent professional standard.
To assist the Principal manager to provide the day-to-day clinical-technical services of the departments.
The post-holder will also be required to carry out some administrative, environmental and housekeeping tasks.
