We are looking for a Senior Audiologist to join our friendly and welcoming team. You will lead the maintenance and upgrades of the departments essential IT system (Auditbase) and the audiology equipment alongside the management team. The successful candidate will be well supported by experienced audiologists, the IT Team and MEMs departments and full training will be provided.

You will have an interesting and varied clinical workload alongside the technical role.

Main duties of the job

To provide specialist diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology to specific patient groups. To train, teach and supervise junior staff within the discipline.

Additionally, this specialist role focusses on routine management of the department's Information Technology and equipment. The responsibilities include managing Auditbase, and other software upgrades and installations, technology troubleshooting (both software and hardware), annual calibration planning, and liaison with MSE Digital Services.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc in Audiology or equivalent (Dip Audiology with relevant BSc or BAA parts 1 & 2 with H'Tec/B'Tec MPPM)
  • State registration


Desirable

  • Membership of Professional groups such as BAA & BSA


Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Full competency, including theoretical and practical training in full range of hearing aid techniques and clinical diagnostic test procedures (adults and young children including pre-school age) will have been gained.


Desirable

  • Able to manage the departments database Auditbase including upgrades / installations and trouble shooting
  • Experienced in training, teaching and supervise junior staff within the discipline
  • NHS experience
