Please note- We are currently looking to fill the role Monday-Friday either 9am-1pm or 1pm-5pm
Please note: if your application is successful you will be required to attend a full induction day on Tuesday 25th July 9am-3:30pm.
Volunteers play an important part in our service and care delivery. Their hard work, dedication and friendliness enhance the patient and family experience. Our volunteers provide extra support to patients, their families and staff.

Main duties of the job
Volunteer Responsibilities
Providing information and assistance to those wishing to make a donation to LHCH Charity
Taking telephone donations over the telephone using the credit card machine
Selling merchandise to supporters
Answering queries and providing information about LHCH Charity events or particular programmes of support
Maintenance of the Charity Office space
Other duties as requested by the Administration Office
About us
Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital Charity (LHCH Charity) supports the work of Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital by raising funds to provide the latest and best equipment, additional amenities for our patients and staff and supporting research into new ways of treating and curing heart and lung diseases.
Based at the Charity Office in a busy part of the hospital facing the out-patients department. The volunteer will represent LHCH Charity to those that visit providing information and support for donors and dealing with the selling of the charitys merchandise.

A willingness to learn and work as part of the LHCH Charity Team
Enjoy meeting people in a forward-facing role
Good time management and reliable
Completing any relevant training and asking questions if you are uncertain
Remaining professional in your interactions with all stakeholders
Making recommendations for improvements where feasible and appropriate
Understanding your role and responsibilities as well as the rules and safety regulations of the hospital
Communicating with the Administration Officer in good time if you are unable to fulfil your duties
Respect and maintain confidentiality of donors and others within LHCH
